On the First of October the Spartan Volleyball girls traveled to Helix, then to Nixyaawii. They did not win against Helix, but they played hard as they could and did well. They won against Nixyaawii even though they were tired from the game before against Helix. On the seventh the girls traveled to Wallowa where they played a very close game for four matches, but they didn’t win the game. On the eighth they traveled to North Powder where they played both Powder Valley and Cove. They played Powder first, they didn’t win, but they played good. They also lost to Cove, but they played well considering that they were tired from a hard game against Powder Valley.
On the thirteenth the girls played their home pink game against Joseph. They did not win, but they played one of the best games they had all season! Their next game on the fourteenth was their senior night and their homecoming game. During this game Pine Eagle recognized their graduating seniors on the Volleyball team. The seniors were escorted by family on to the court for their senior speeches to be read. They then played very hard on their last game against Powder Valley. They were not able to win, but after the game there were tears of sadness and happiness for all the good times spent throughout the years.
On October seventh the Spartan Football boys traveled to Wallowa to play a very good game and win with the final score fourteen to eight. The boy's next game was against Powder Valley on the fourteenth, which was also the Spartans Homecoming Game. Before the game started the seniors were recognized and was escorted by their parents or grandparents on to the field to have their senior speeches read. At halftime the senior boys stayed on the field and was accompanied by all the classes homecoming Princesses for the homecoming Queen and King to be announced. The boys then played a hard second half, but the did not win. Their next game was a their last game at home against Joseph. The boys were not able to win, but they played good and hard on their last game.
